Fritz Nelson joined Accuride Corporation as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer in August 2018. He is an Officer of the Company and reports directly to President and CEO Rick Dauch.
A veteran private-equity finance leader in complex companies with global business operations, Nelson has helped execute growth, restructuring and M&A strategies in Europe and Asia, two regions vital to Accuride’s future.
Nelson joined Accuride from Detroit-based Acument Global Technologies, a global fastening systems supplier, where he had served as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer since 2014. Prior to Acument, he had an 11-year tenure with global automotive safety systems supplier Key Safety Systems, a Crestview Partners portfolio company with extensive operations in Asia. In his roles as the company’s Vice President of Strategic Planning and Vice President of Global Finance for its Safety Products business, he contributed to Key Safety Systems’ long-term growth and restructuring.
Earlier in his career, Nelson held finance leadership roles with Eaton Corporation, Breed Technologies and Cabot Corporation. He began his corporate career in finance roles with Ford Motor Company.
Nelson earned his Master of Business Administration in Finance from Boston University and a bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of Illinois.
