Position Title: Director/Finance, Supply Chain

Position Overview:
This position can either be located in Evansville, IN or Livonia, MI - This position acts as the analytical engine of the Supply Chain function and is accountable for providing insights and supporting ‘optimal’ business decision making. This individual will be leading, coordinating and supporting all key Supply Chain financial activities including identifying and managing supply chain analytics, tracking cost reductions, providing support to global commodity managers, etc.

Position Requirements:

Required Skills, Education, and Experience

  • B.S. degree or greater in Business, Finance, Purchasing/Supply Chain preferred
  • 5-10 years of progressively responsible financial/accounting experience in a Corporation with a multi-site manufacturing environment
  • Broad-based understanding of the Commercial Vehicle Industry preferred
  • Ability to accommodate periodic travel for short periods of time
  • Ability to analyze data and make sound decisions based on recommendations and findings
  • Excellent analytical, planning and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing, for internal and external communications
  • Financial planning & analysis experience preferred
  • Experience with process flow management and ability to identify improvement opportunities preferred
  • Demonstrated success in performing complex assignments with an ability to interface effectively with a broad range of internal and external people with proven success working in a team environment
  • Working experience with PLEX, Workday or other ERP systems preferred
  • Excellent personal computer skills at Power User Level in Microsoft applications

Principal Accountabilities

  • Develop financial models and analyses to support global strategic initiatives such as Commodities (Steel, Aluminum, Weld Wire, Coatings and Packaging) and Logistics.
  • Improve Supply Chain performance by evaluating processes to drive efficiencies and lead efforts to standardize key processes, key reports and decision support tools
  • Develop and implement sustainable/repeatable processes for spend analytics/management
  • Develop and provide analysis for make vs. buy decisions
  • Identify market opportunities and set strategies to reduce costs and offset inflation
  • Identify and develop strategies to reduce working capital
  • Work with internal and external customers to generate project ideas and cost savings opportunities
  • Track royalties
  • Take ownership of an prepare presentations for senior management review such as monthly KPI reporting
  • Prepare models of supplier capacity and cost opportunities
  • Identify and manage risk management (strategic sourcing, credit worthiness, risk mitigation strategies)
  • Provide the interface between Supply Chain and BU Finance organizations
